A complete KS2 back-to-school lesson designed to welcome Year 5 and 6 pupils into a new class and establish a positive classroom community. Ideal for the first day back or the start of the September term, pupils explore kindness, respect, fairness, teamwork and responsibility through discussion, quality-ranking and relatable social scenarios.

Pupils work together to create a positive class charter before making an individual promise about how they will contribute during the year. This engaging 60-minute resource includes an editable PowerPoint, printable worksheets, group scenario cards and one-page teacher notes with lesson timings, objectives, differentiation and curriculum links.
