Rudolph Saves Christmas - KS1

Rudolph Saves Christmas is a cute Christmas teaching resource which can be used to help children enhance and develop reading and writing skills.  The resource uses the story of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer to teach a number of the key reading and comprehension skills outlined in the National Curriculum.

Rudolph Saves Christmas includes a range of activities including:

1. Exploring narrative – reading a story individually, in pairs or a group and discussing and recounting events.
2. Comprehension quiz to check understanding.
   
3. Using a word bank to retell events from the story.
4. Sequencing and ordering events.
5. Learning about rhyming words and identifying rhymes in the song ‘Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer’.
6. A link to a 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer' song.
7. Exploring the meaning, message or moral behind the story.
8. 14 accompanying worksheets
