This ‘Long and Short Vowels’ teaching resource is designed to help KS2 (and some high ability Year 2) children consolidate their knowledge and understanding of long and short vowel forms. The resource is made up of a colourful and fully editable PowerPoint and 2 worksheets. It includes a clear explanation of long and short vowels, a few examples and three consolidation activities to asses understanding. Although it is designed with lower KS2 learners in mind, 'Long and Short Vowels’ can be easily adapted for use with other learners.
