Developing Reading Skills - Suffixes

Our ‘Developing Reading Skills - Suffixes’ teaching resource is designed to help KS2 children develop their understanding of suffixes and demonstrate how a knowledge of suffixes can help pupils understand new words. The resource is made up of an editable PowerPoint presentation with 3 accompanying worksheets. It includes an easy to follow explanation of suffixes, a couple of consolidation activities and a homework task. Although it is designed with KS2 pupils in mind, ‘Developing Reading Skills - Suffixes’ can be easily adapted for use with lower KS3 learners.
