2022 World Cup

World Cup 2022 includes a range of English-based activities themed around the 2022 World Cup. It is designed with KS2 in mind but also works well with Year 7. It's made up of an editable 24-slide PowerPoint presentation and 7 worksheets. Activities include:

- Reading Non-fiction

- Comprehension and information retrieval

- Proofreading

- Punctuation – capital letters, full stops and commas

- Research (select a World Cup nation and complete a research task)

- Alphabetical order

- Fact and Opinion

The 2022 World Cup also offers PSHE and citizenship opportunities to discuss workers, LGBTQ+ and women’s rights. Included is a link to Amnesty International’s excellent ‘Qatar 2022 – Fair or Foul’ resource which explores these important issues in depth.
