Boy, Biography & Autobiography (PowerPoint lessons with worksheets)

This unit would work successfully at Second Level English. There are a number of suggested activities and outcomes with a mixture of oral and written assessment points. These could easily be switched at the discretion of the class teacher. In addition, a number of tasks are family orientated due to the nature of the text.  This unit of work is desgined to cover biography and autobiography (non-fiction) at A Curriculum for Excellence: Second Level English. English Teaching Resources: Boy, Biography and Autobiography (Non-fiction) is a complete lesson by lesson unit of work (includes assessment guidance, detailed lessons and activities, 85 slide PowerPoint and dozens of accompanying worksheets).  The lessons study Roald Dahl and use Roald Dahl's autobiography Boy to contextualise the exploration of autobiographical writing.
